THE FAMILY DOES NOT ALLOW THIS, THE SOCIETY DOES NOT TOLERATE THIS, THE RELIGION DOES NOT PERMIT THAT......THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. AND WE LIKE NON THINKING ROBOTS JUST FOLLOW THE RULES. NO INDIVIDUALITY ALLOWED. WE ARE INDIANS.
NO WONDER THE YOUTH HAS HAD ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE. NO WONDER THEY REBEL. I SAY. ALLOW THEM THEIR REBELLION. MAKE WAY FOR THEIR AGGRESSION.

THATS THE ONLY WAY OUR NATION WILL ACHIEVE HEIGHTS.

Movies, Advertisements and TV programmes reach masses; I strongly feel that movies like Rang De Basanti or Chak De India or the recent campaign "LEAD INDIA", by the Times of India and the Advtertisements like the current one of TATA TEA would go a long way in bringing about the desired change...
I beg to differ as far as the "tolernace leads to suppression" part is concerned. What Bhagat Singh did by going to jail inspires us till today.There is a price to pay for everything.Im not suggesting a conforming approach but an approach which has rebellious expression. Rebellious espression is all good till it doesnt lead to violence and doesnt go against humanity.There, a negative is created. I am not in anyway against defence though. Offering the other cheek is outdated,i agree. But raising your hand isn't correct either. I am not saying that you have suggested this in the article. But what happens is that the youth forgets to draw the line more often than not. How these lines of control between raw aggression and sensitivity are to be drawn by the youth is subjective for every individual and perhaps something we must think about. Remember, Dhoni himself made a statement that Shreeshanth should sit as his behaviour on the field is childish when Shreeshanth kept repeating his agressive behaviour on the field.
The most uncommon quality in Indians with respect to tradition is "Common Sense". For India to improve, common sense alone is enough:) But the question is "Why is the use of common sense so uncommon in India?"
